Our Story
Atilis Gym was founded in 1974 in Wildwood, New Jersey. From the start, it earned a reputation as a true hardcore gym — the kind of place where serious bodybuilders, powerlifters, and athletes came to train when they were summering at the shore.
In 1996, Chris Lambert purchased Atilis from the original owners. He modernized the facilities and equipment while keeping the no-nonsense, no-contract identity that built the brand. Over the next two decades, Atilis grew from a single Wildwood location to six full-service gyms across the Jersey Shore.
Today, Atilis is the gym for people who actually train. We stock the equipment serious lifters want. We carry over 35 supplement brands at the best prices we can find. And we still don't require a contract or keep your card on file. We earn your membership every month — or you walk.
